Use the manual controls to move the y-axis a known distance (e.g. 10mm). See how far it moves.

If you've changed the stepper driver from half-steps to full steps, the y-axis will double.

There's a setting in the firmware for the x, y and z axes - it's in steps per mm. If it's exactly double, then try halving the number. (e.g. 8.7 steps/mm change to 4.35steps/mm)

Also, try generating the G-Code for a simple 10mm block and see if the numbers are correct (if it's generating moves to 10, 20 then it's the software that's wrong).

Wow, I have no idea what could cause that… O_o

I have a cheap-hack work-around, though: import the STL into Blender, hit s for scale, y for y-axis constraint, and hold down ctrl as you drag the mouse until your object is half sized. Export back to STL and print.

Anyone know how to *really* fix this error? I'd be terribly interested…

For some reason when i print my objects they become elongated. like there stretched in length. The width is perfect my the length my y axis become deformed. Dose anyone have an idea why this might happen. For example i printed a Lego brick from thingiverse and its doubled in length when printed.
