Where to get the body dxf files? (Flat 2D)

Hi everyone. I downloaded the DXF files but they appear to be CNC files not typical 2D dxf files I can open in CAD. I am looking to open the body files so I can review them and try to cut the panels on a friends laser cutter out of acrylic. I wanted to check the sizes to make sure they will fit on his cutting bed which is 12x24. I'll probably need to re-nest the parts manually. I'd love just to order a complete kit but I'm working on a bit of a budget!

Hmm… well I opened one of the DXf files in autocad and it's not a typical DXF file. It's full of many items, typical to a CNC file. Including specially formatted vertical text. I was hoping to find a file that is more typical of the JPGS that are floating around of the pieces nice and nested together. For example, it I were to ask for a DXF of a rectangle I would expect to open the dxf file in autocad to see the rectangle. Perhaps the fact I am using autocad is causing me grief. I'll play with the supplied files some more. If anyone has an alternate solution I'd love to hear it. Thanks!

Looking at thingiverse, it appears that these files are *indended* to be brought into coreldraw to then be cut out with a laser. I have not tried them my self, but I will include a note found with the files that may help

We use coreldraw to lasercut all our files and import them just fine. there are a few things to keep in mind:

+++
1. 3d projection is 'top'
2. the units are mm.
3. make sure auto-reduce nodes is checked.
4. click to place the corel draw file once you import it.

we use coreldraw 12. i used X4 the other day but it messed up all the colors, although it did import the curves just fine.
