Y-belt comes loose

My y-belt slips loose every now and then, and I have to pull out and re-tighten the clip that holds the platform to the y-belt fairly often. My options, as I see them:

Build a better clip. Possible, I figure I can do it, but kind of a drag on my MakerBotting up things like gearboxes.

Glue the belt. Really don't want to. It might work, but I hate irreversible operations.

Other thoughts? Thoughts for better ways of doing these?

I am not at that point yet, but have you tried putting some of that special glue on that hold non-self-locking nuts on their bolts? (what the heck is that stuff called in English?)

Thread lock, exactly. Since the CupCake will be vibrating during operation, I wonder if a low-strength thread lock would generally be a good idea?!

Threadlocker.

Loctite make it. Make sure you get the right stuff! Theres 3 different strengths, one is designed NEVER to be released.

Is there not enough space to use a longer bolt and double nut the thread? That will lock it in place easily enough.
