Please Help!
I just received my MakerBot Thing-o-matic kit. I have finished building the Automated Build Platform or ABP. First I must say that the conveyor belt seems awfully tight. I don't think it is going to be able to move easily, but maybe it is supposed to be like that?
So it seemed like it was too tight, so I thought I should test it, to make sure it is going to work so I won't have to take it apart later to fix it. I applied power from 4 AA batteries to the motor. What happens is, the gear seems to hop and not stay enmeshed with the motor's gear.
What could be causing these issues? Am I getting too far ahead of myself? I am really worried that this motor is not going to be able to spin this super tight conveyor belt.
