Using motherboard and EC firmware 2.9 on Gen 4 electronics, my safety cutoff does what it needs to do, but not in the method mentioned in the "Testing" section. I wanted to see if I am the only one experiencing this operation before I modify the entry.
If I start the hot end heating, then pull one end of the "Temp Cutoff" port, the red light comes on, the cartridge stops heating, and the temperature starts to drop.
However, I know this because I was taking temperature and voltage measurements when I tested it. When the safety cutoff kicked in, I lost communications to the motherboard. I was only able to reestablish communications once I reset the motherboard, which turned off the safety cutoff light. (keeping in mind that I had already replaced the wire I originally lifted)
Does anyone else lose communications from RepG (25) to the motherboard in these circumstances, or is it just me?
