Hello everybody,

I have an old Cupcake (batch XI) lying around forever, partially assembled and I decided now to finish it as I have a little time for me. I ordered a StepStruder MK6+ and everything needed for the upgrade (3G 5D shield…) but the old extruder controller (ec 2.2) is waiting for a thermistor and not a thermocouple. How can I make it work ?

Your only choice is to get a thermistor. There is just way too much code and wiring along with needing an instrument amplifier chip just to read a thermocouple.

You should have the old thermistor with your kit, just attach it to the mk6 head. You also MUST in all CAPS use a relay. Otherwise you will blow the MOSFETS on that extruder controller.
