Easy enough, follow the directions for the T-O-M that the gen 4 electroncis and those motors were designed for. Everything you need to know about each kind of motor is there. Also, head the warning the driver must be powered, stepper plugged in but disabled (not locked). The easiest way to ensure that is to press the reset button on the mainboard as they come up a disabled by default in the firmware and only active if rep-g control panel is used to move an axis or the LCD panel is used to jog. You'll know when a stepper driver is active because the red and green LEDs by the stepper motor connector will be lit in addition to the power led. Further, when enabled, the adjustments to the pots don't change the,measured voltages out due to interaction on the circuit. You must make and measure adjustments in the disabled, but powered state.

Note: If you set the current too high, the motor will be eventually get too hot to touch.
If your Z axis stepper motor is making high pitched noises while set to the above REF value, then you will need to change the other potentiometers as well.
Since the motor suppliers have changed over the course of the Thing-O-Matic's lifetime, you first need to identify which motors you have from the image below, and then adjust their respective potentiometers accordingly.
