Basic Overview

There are three stages to the software side of making a 3D object with a MakerBot.

  1. Creating and scaling an STL file with a tool like Blender
  2. Slicing the file and converting the STL into gcode with Skeinforge
  3. Sending the gcode to the MakerBot with ReplicatorG
